Sacred Stories
Sacred stories are beloved in all traditions. Religious tales and mythical stories have always held a special place in the imagination. Christian sacred stories, Islamic sacred stories, the sacred story of Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism and many more have delighted children and adults alike for thousands of years. These stories invariably enlighten and instruct at the same time – without being didactic or evangelical. Very often they are strongly connected to mythical stories. In performance you would often have found the sacred story set to music.
The stories in Light on The Page are not traditional sacred stories as such. They’re all new for one thing. But they have a particular relationship to the sacred story and often hinge upon some special meaning within the spiritual traditions. These traditions radiate through folk-tales, fairy-tales, legends and myths. As consciousness is always developing so does the emphasis in particular stories need to change. I hope this fact is also reflected in the stories here.
The stories in Light on the Page – a category we hope to develop – are intended for both children and adults. Please follow the links below for new stories.
Best wishes, today,
